In just three days, global energy leaders will converge in Bangkok for Gastech 2026, bringing together government ministers, industry CEOs, investors, technology companies and energy stakeholders to address one of the defining challenges—and opportunities—of the global economy: meeting the growing demand for reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.
Taking place from 14–17 September, Gastech 2026 will bring the global energy industry to Asia at a pivotal moment for the region. Rapid industrialisation, urbanisation and the accelerating expansion of artificial intelligence are transforming emerging Asian markets into major economic powerhouses. With emerging economies expected to account for more than 80% of global energy demand growth, the investments, partnerships and policy decisions emerging from Gastech will play an important role in determining how this demand is met.
As new factories, data centres, transport networks and digital infrastructure drive consumption higher, Gastech 2026 will connect global capital, energy supply, infrastructure and technology to support Asia’s continued industrial and digital expansion. The event will provide a platform for industry and government leaders to explore practical solutions for delivering the energy required to unlock economic opportunities and improve living standards for billions across the region.
Bringing together policymakers, regulators, energy producers, infrastructure and technology providers, investors, traders and utilities, Gastech 2026 will focus on building a coordinated response to the world’s evolving energy needs. Discussions will span the full energy value chain, with an emphasis on strengthening energy security, expanding infrastructure, enabling investment and ensuring reliable supply for both emerging and established economies.
Policymakers Set the Global Energy Agenda
These priorities will take centre stage at the Gastech Strategic Conference, which will feature 19 ministers, including senior representatives from Thailand, Egypt, Nigeria, Singapore, Oman, Libya and the United States. The conference will be opened by H.E. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand, and will feature more than 200 sessions, bringing decision-makers together to discuss the policies, partnerships, investments and regulatory frameworks required to support the next phase of global economic growth.
Among the flagship ministerial sessions will be “The Energy Reset: Who Controls Power in the New Global Order?”, which will bring together government leaders from Africa, Asia and the Middle East to examine national strategies for developing more resilient and diversified energy systems.
Another key session, “Demand Surge, System Strain: Asia’s Energy Stress Test,” will explore how governments across the region are responding to rapidly rising energy demand. The discussion will examine measures including regulatory reform, regional integration and the development of scalable gas and LNG infrastructure to strengthen energy security and reliability.
Global CEOs to Drive Investment and Partnerships
The private sector will also play a central role at Gastech 2026, with senior executives from across the energy value chain gathering to advance the commercial partnerships, investments and infrastructure projects needed to keep pace with rising demand and changing energy priorities.

Exhibition Connects Global Energy Value Chain
Beyond the Strategic Conference, the Gastech exhibition will provide a platform for turning strategic discussions into commercial opportunities. The exhibition will bring together international suppliers, buyers, utilities, developers, investors and technology providers from across the energy value chain.
The exhibition will be anchored by co-hosts Chevron, ExxonMobil and Shell, supported by Thailand’s National Consortium Partners EGAT, PTT and Gulf, alongside National Consortium Supporters RATCH and EGCO. Their participation reflects the growing collaboration between Thailand, international energy companies and the wider global industry.
Connecting the industry from energy production through to end-user delivery, the exhibition floor will provide opportunities to advance offtake discussions, terminal and grid developments, infrastructure projects and financing partnerships.
Energy producers including ADNOC, XRG, Cheniere, Venture Global and Woodside Energy will engage with buyers and utilities such as KOGAS, GAIL, SEFE, Uniper and ENGIE, alongside global trading houses Vitol and Trafigura.
Engineering, technology and infrastructure providers including Bechtel, Technip Energies, Samsung Heavy Industries, Baker Hughes, Siemens Energy and Honeywell will showcase solutions designed for deployment across the evolving energy landscape. The exhibition builds on the approximately US$60 billion in commercial agreements and investments facilitated at Gastech 2025, underlining the event’s role as a platform for converting dialogue into tangible commercial outcomes.
