‘clossie’ Enters Europe with an AI-Powered Platform for Seoul’s Independent Fashion Brands

Trenfit, an emerging fashion technology company, has officially launched clossie, a curated cross-border e-commerce platform designed to give European consumers access to some of South Korea’s most distinctive independent designer brands.

The newly launched clossie mobile app aims to provide European shoppers with seamless access to Seoul’s premium independent fashion labels, while addressing some of the traditional challenges associated with cross-border fashion shopping, including language barriers, logistics, sizing uncertainty, and differences in consumer preferences.

Bringing Seoul Fashion Closer to European Consumers

Seoul has gained global recognition for its avant-garde silhouettes, distinctive aesthetics, and increasingly influential independent fashion scene. However, international consumers have historically faced difficulties discovering and purchasing products from smaller Korean labels.

clossie was developed to bridge this gap by combining curated fashion discovery with technology designed to help consumers make more informed purchasing decisions.

To create a more seamless shopping experience, Trenfit has integrated its proprietary “market suitability analysis AI solution” into the platform. The system evaluates fashion products using data points such as Style Compatibility Factor and Silhouette & Size Fit.

By analysing these factors, the AI system is designed to match distinctive Korean fashion products with the preferences, styles, and sizing considerations of Western consumers. This approach aims to reduce some of the uncertainty traditionally associated with purchasing fashion across international markets.

Combining AI with Real-World Consumer Insights

The platform’s curation strategy is also informed by direct consumer engagement. Over the past year, Trenfit hosted three physical pop-up showcases in London, allowing the company to gather feedback from European consumers and establish direct relationships with local fashion communities.

Insights from these offline experiences have been incorporated into the AI-powered curation process. As a result, clossie aims to offer more than a conventional online marketplace by highlighting the creative identity, design philosophy, and stories behind participating Korean brands.

European Logistics and Operations

The platform is supported by a London-based European logistics and operations hub, CLOSSIE UK LTD, which is designed to facilitate reliable cross-border delivery across key European markets.

The service currently targets consumers in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and other markets across Europe, providing a localised operational foundation for the platform’s international expansion.

Beyond Trends, Beyond Fit

Han Sangyoon, CEO of Trenfit, said, “Our core philosophy is ‘Beyond trend, Beyond fit’. K-Fashion has evolved far beyond temporary trend cycles; it is now defined by extraordinary craftsmanship and original storytelling. Our mission at clossie is to serve as a high-end digital curator, bringing these exceptional Korean designers to the forefront and offering European consumers a direct, effortless connection to Seoul’s most compelling style ecosystems.”

Looking ahead, Trenfit plans to expand clossie beyond contemporary fashion into premium K-beauty and lifestyle products. The company is also preparing to introduce B2B wholesale distribution channels alongside its existing direct-to-consumer platform.

Through this expansion, Trenfit aims to establish clossie as a global gateway for Korean fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands, connecting independent creators in Seoul with consumers and businesses across international markets.
