New President of Donegal Women in Business Network vows to empower and inspire

Larissa Feeney, who was Letterkenny’s Business Person of the Year in 2022, has been elected as the new Donegal Women in Business Network President

Larissa Feeney wants to continue ’empowering and inspiring women in business’ following her election as the new president of the Donegal Women in Business Network.

A chartered accountant with over 15 years’ experience, Larissa – who was Letterkenny’s Business Person of the Year in 2022 – is the CEO of Accountant Online, an award-winning online chartered accountancy firm.

Larissa, who lives in St Johnston, was appointed during the recent AGM of the Donegal Women in Business Network.

“I am honoured to have been elected as the president of the Donegal Women in Business Network.

“Together with the incredible committee members and the support of Local Enterprise Office Donegal, I am excited to continue the mission of empowering and inspiring women in business throughout the county.

“With the collective passion and drive of our network, I believe we can achieve great things to help promote and inspire women in business across Donegal.”

Larissa takes over as president from Jo Daly and she added of her predecessor: “Jo’s contributions and hard work have been instrumental in shaping the network into what it is today. I am inspired by her commitment to supporting and promoting women in business, and I look forward to building upon the strong foundation she has laid.”

Ms Daly said the appointment of Ms Feeney ‘signifies the trust and confidence that the network’s members have placed in her leadership abilities’.

Ms Daly said: “As president, she will play a vital role in guiding and shaping the network’s initiatives and activities to support and empower women in business throughout Donegal.”

Other appointments to the Donegal Women in Business Network include committee members Sheila Russell and Sally Murphy who were elected joint vice presidents, while Lyndsey Reynolds takes over as secretary of the committee and Susan Stevenson was appointed assistant treasurer.

Later this month, Donegal Women in Business Network will host a Summer Solstice Soiree at Oakfield Park.

Taking place on Wednesday, June 23, this event aims to celebrate and ignite the inner light within. Motivational speaker, Nikki Bradley, will be there to inspire and uplift all those in attendance in what promises to be a memorable gathering where members and guests can come together, network, and be inspired by Nikki’s motivational message.

The Donegal Women in Business Network has developed into an ambitious, dynamic, and diverse group which brings together women in different stages of business development, from startup to expansion and everything in-between.
